BIBLE PROMISES KIT
2 Peter 1:2-4 (ESV)
2 May grace and peace be multiplied to you in the knowledge of God and of Jesus our Lord.
3 His divine power has granted to us all things that pertain to life and godliness, through the knowledge of him who called us to his own glory and excellence,
4 by which he has granted to us his precious and very great promises, so that through them you may become partakers of the divine nature, having escaped from the corruption that is in the world because of sinful desire.
So how do you get a Promise to work in your life? You must get it from you head to your heart. The amazing thing is that it works in every area from Divine Healing to Addictions to you name it. There is a promise for everything in the Bible. How do I know they work. I told the Lord that I wouldn’t teach on them until they are working in my life. They are now and I want to share these principles; which will work for you.
· Promises aren’t Crutches but Bridges to Victory on the Other side.
· God’s Word isn’t for devotionals only; but it is a War Manual.
· Promises are at the heart of everything in the Bible; from Divine Healing to Salvation and more.
· These promises cover all things pertaining to life!
II Peter 1:2-4 tell us this. That means it will meet your Spiritual, Physical, Emotional and Financial Needs. There are no exceptions. Nothing is too hard for God to do-period!
· God inside of you is transferred through the promises from the spirit to the outside.
1. Get the Doubt Out!
Matthew 17:19-20 (KJV)
19 Then came the disciples to Jesus apart, and said, Why could not we cast him out?
20 And Jesus said unto them, Because of your unbelief: for verily I say unto you, If ye have faith as a grain of mustard seed, ye shall say unto this mountain,
Remove hence to yonder place; and it shall remove; and nothing shall be impossible unto you.
· First you must deal with your unbelief
· Unbelief is what stops the flow of God’s power and his promises from working.
Matthew 18:3-4 (ESV)
3 and said, “Truly, I say to you, unless you turn and become like children, you will never enter the kingdom of heaven.
4 Whoever humbles himself like this child is the greatest in the kingdom of heaven.
· At the heart of all of it one needs to come with Child-like faith and just believe the Bible Promise.
2. You must Renew your Mind
Romans 12:2 (ESV)
2 Do not be conformed to this world, but be transformed by the renewal of your mind, that by testing you may discern what is the will of God, what is good and acceptable and perfect.
· How do you do it by Meditating and Speaking the Word of God.
Meditating
Psalm 1:2 (ESV)
2 but his delight is in the law of the LORD, and on his law he meditates day and night.
· (Thinking on them) on the Promises day and night will change the way you think, and you will eventually have what you are believing for.
Speak the Word
Mark 11:22-23 (ESV)
22 And Jesus answered them, “Have faith in God.
23 Truly, I say to you, whoever says to this mountain, ‘Be taken up and thrown into the sea,’ and does not doubt in his heart, but believes that what he says will come to pass, it will be done for him.
· You will have what you say or say what you have!
3. Rest in the Lord
Hebrews 4:1-3,11 (ESV)
1 Therefore, while the promise of entering his rest still stands, let us fear lest any of you should seem to have failed to reach it.
2 For good news came to us just as to them, but the message they heard did not benefit them, because they were not united by faith with those who listened.
3 For we who have believed enter that rest, 10 for whoever has entered God’s rest has also rested from his works as God did from his.
11 Let us therefore strive to enter that rest, so that no one may fall by the same sort of disobedience.
· Ceasing from our petitions and just thanking him; this seals the deal. Putting it on the back burner can work to. What I mean by putting it on the back burner is to just pray it; and believe it with simple child-like faith and forget about it. If there is no demonic opposition or unbelief, then you will get it.
4. Don’t Quit
Galatians 6:9 (ESV)
9 And let us not grow weary of doing good, for in due season we will reap, if we do not give up.
It’s only the Truth that you know that sets you free. A perfect illustration of this is the Emancipation Proclamation. All slaves were freed; but many didn’t hear about it. Their masters didn’t tell them as they should have; but kept it quiet to they would continue to get free slave labor. So even though they had freedom they didn’t know it. Even though you may read the promise if you don’t really know the Truth you won’t be set free and the power will just set there.
