I thought you might get a chuckle out of this. When I was first very sick, I asked God for a sign. I don’t believe asking for a sign is usually a recommended
thing. You can be misled. God really wants us to trust him by faith. As weird as
this sounds all the hair on the sides of both my legs had fallen off. I was
diagnosed with fibromyagia. Recently, I looked up a list of fibromyalgia
symptoms and hair loss was one of them. I wondered if the hair fell off because
those muscles were like on fire all the time. That’s just a guess. Fibromyalgia
is more of a syndrome: really just a bunch of things wrong with you. This is an incurable disease that varies from person to person. For me it was like having arthritis throughout your whole body, the stomach flu, and mono. It was awful.
So I said to God “If you are going to heal me, would you give me a sign and let the hair grow back on my legs.” In his mercy, he did. Right away, this started to happen. I remember showing people that the hair was growing back on my legs. They probably thought I was crazy, but to me it was a miraculous sign. The hair would grow back and then when I was struggling through stages of believing God for my healing and was attacked by the enemy it will fall back out. I begin to feel like Samson. I noticed this week, as I have been doing a lot of walking, that the hair has grown back and for the first time in 7 years, you can’t tell the difference between the sides. In the past, the outer hair was always much thinner. Thank you Jesus!
Now for the black toenails, for your second laugh. I had started believing God to heal parts of my body, Trust me; there were a lot of parts that needed healing. One thing that kept reoccurring was my toenail on my second toe
(the one next to my big toe) kept turning black. I assumed it was a fungus. So
according to the promise in Mark 11 where Jesus said you could speak to your
mountain and it would be removed, I did this. I commanded the black toenail to
turn back to the normal color and the fungus or athletes’ foot to be healed. It
turned back to normal color within a day or two. The odd thing is it kept coming
back and I would do the same thing, and then it would clear up again, and then
it would come back a few weeks later.
A few weeks ago, I was in seeing my doctor for a check-up, and asked him
about it. This time the toenail had fallen off. He told me to take off my shoes,
and he said I think I know what the problem is. He said it is toe trauma. I said
what is that? I have weird feet it seems. My second toe (the one with the
toenail that kept turning black) is longer than my big toe. I was doing a lot of
walking for long distances. Your big toe is designed to take the shock, not the
smaller second toe. So as a result, the nail was injured, turned black and fell
off. Now that I know what it is, I just go with it. It’s not a problem and
really only happens when I walk long distances.
It is interesting though that God kept healing it; even when I was
thinking it was something else. I just thought you might need a little
humor.
