We have all heard about Moses and Abraham and the Hall of Faith in Hebrews 11; but most have not heard of those who are in the Hall of Faith in Hebrews 11.5. The reason is that book is still being written.
Two of my North Central University classmates have died recently. One about a year ago and the other just in the last week or so. They lost their battle to cancer. I was close to these two men in school; but we had lost touch except an occasional contact on Facebook, etc. Their deaths were a shock to me. I can’t even imagine the pain of loss that their wives and kids and family and friends experienced. I went through ten years of physical pain, but nothing can compare with what they went through.
I teach on Divine Healing now. I feel the pain of those who suffer. I feel for their families. I was asking God about these two men and he spoke to me just yesterday in my spirit as clear as if it would have been an audible voice. Ivan Cornwell who lived in Pennsylvania and Jon Adams who was from Minnesota; he said to me are “HEROES IN HEAVEN AND ON EARTH. THEIR STORY IS STILL BEING WRITTEN.” They are being written through the lives of their wives Lisa and Kate and through their kids (They have awesome kids) and through the lives that they touched in ministry through their own special callings as pastors.
I thank God for men like Ivan and Jon, they are heroes to me. They loved the Lord; they loved their family and they loved and served others with all their heart. What higher calling and purpose can there be.
Tonight, before you go to bed pray for Kate and Lisa and their kids and thank God for men like Ivan and Jon. I DO!!!
