prevent me from drowning.
At the beginning of this trial back in 2006, I remember telling the Lord, “hey I wasn’t very good at this before I was in horrible pain; I don’t think that I will do much better under these circumstances.” I am sure he got a chuckle out of it. He felt compassion for my pain and suffering. He knew that statement was one made of our desperation. And remember, I had asked for this trial when I prayed in the fall of 2006, “whatever you have to do to change me Lord, just do
it, just spare my life.”
I needed a life saver, and this word picture kept coming to my mind. I was like a man floating in the ocean desperately trying to hang on and looking for a life preserver until a ship would come to rescue me. It was that bad! It
was hell on earth. It you read or listen to my testimony, you will understand. Then these words that she had said to me on numerous occasions, God brought them back; “This too will pass.” Now if it’s a week, that’s a long time, a month, a
year, but seven years seemed like an eternity. But I kept thinking about those words when things got tough “This too shall pass.” This phrase was one of the things that kept me alive and kept me going when things seemed hopeless.
Eventually, it did pass, God opened up the understanding and principles of divine healing to me, and I was healed and give him the glory for this. But my friend, the pastor’s wife, she gets an assist. Now I share those words with others who are hurting. Remember, if you are in a difficult spot; no matter how bleak it looks, it will pass-just keep your faith anchored in Jesus Christ. He won’t let you down. Hey, I’m living proof of that!
So I would like to thank, my pastor’s wife. She knows I am writing this. So I thank you and God thanks you!
Next time you run into someone struggling tell them to keep your faith in Jesus and pray with them and tell them “THIS TOO SHALL PASS.” Cause it will!!!!!
For verily I say unto you, “That whosoever shall say unto this mountain, Be thou removed, and be thou cast into the sea; and shall not doubt in his heart, but shall believe that those things which he saith shall come to pass; he shall have whatsoever he saith.” Mark 11:23 (KJV)
