character falls on his face and just says something close to this “God, I am overwhelmed by your goodness to me.” I know exactly how that man feels. That is how my heart feels every day now!
For the last thirty-five years, I got to see my friends climb their mountains and I was glad for them. I would try to climb mine and get about ten feet and then just fall back down to the bottom. Finally, when I prayed that dangerous prayer, in 2005 “God whatever you have to do to change me, do it, just spare my life; he helped me to climb my mountain. I thought I might get a little hill at least. But to my surprise, he let me climb Mt. Everest (the mountain of the Book of Acts). I couldn’t
have even have imagined this was possible. Some have made it, some have tried and given up, and some have never tried. But me, the biggest wimp who ever lived, did it. It took me seven, long, painful years to do, but I did it!!!
One thing I learned about this journey, even if you have to take baby steps; if you take enough of them and don’t quit; you can make it all the way to the top; even of Mt. Everest, and God will help you every step of the way!
Scripture back this up! This has become one of my life verses. Galatians 6:9 “And let us not be weary in well doing: for in due season we shall reap, if we faint not. Sounds like baby steps to me. Take enough of them and anyone can climb their Mt. Everest.
