Everyone wants to win a gold medal or be like Peyton Manning or Tom Brady, but does anyone want to be an Apostle Paul or Peter? But that seems unattainable? Says who! I admire Olympic athletes; they inspire me, but what would happen if somebody took that challenge? One man did. There is a famous line that is attributed to Dwight L. Moody. “The world has yet to see what God can do with a man fully consecrated to him. By God’s help, I aim to be that man.” If you study his life, you will find out he did just that!
What would happen if you took that challenge? You would impact people around you and became a world changer for Jesus. Will you be that man or woman? I leave you with this scripture passage and as your read it remember this: which crown lasts longer??? A thousand years from now nobody will remember athletic feats but those souls you take with you; they will remember!
“Do you not know that those who run in a race all run, but one receives the prize? Run in such a way that you may obtain it. And everyone who competes for the prize is temperate in all things. Now they do it to obtain a perishable crown, but we for an imperishable crown. Therefore I run thus: not with uncertainty. Thus I fight: not as one who beats the air. But I discipline my body and bring it into subjection, lest, when I have preached to others, I myself should become disqualified” (I Corinthians 9:24-27)
