So, who will be the people that Jesus will spit out of him mouth? I think I know! This has been on my heart as I have begun to witness intently. I believe that the Lord has shown me through study and the Holy Spirit.
Matthew 7:21-23 (ESV)
21 “Not everyone who says to me, ‘Lord, Lord,’ will enter the kingdom of heaven, but the one who does the will of my Father who is in heaven.
22 On that day many will say to me, ‘Lord, Lord, did we not prophesy in your name, and cast out demons in your name, and do many mighty works in your name?’
23 And then will I declare to them, ‘I never knew you; depart from me, you workers of lawlessness.’
Revelation 3:14-17 (ESV)
14 “And to the angel of the church in Laodicea write: ‘The words of the Amen, the faithful and true witness, the beginning of God’s creation.
15 “‘I know your works: you are neither cold nor hot. Would that you were either cold or hot!
16 So, because you are lukewarm, and neither hot nor cold, I will spit you out of my mouth.
17 For you say, I am rich, I have prospered, and I need nothing, not realizing that you are wretched, pitiable, poor, blind, and naked.
These verses are I believe speak about all who name the name of the Lord and the church at Laodicea most agree is the end-times church (the church of today).
There are a few things present here that stand out to me. Both are frightening. The first element present is that they were Church Goers (either just Religious or at one time True Christians). Secondly, they claimed that they had done exploits in Jesus name. I see no purpose in them lying and I don’t see Jesus saying they didn’t do it. He just said, “I never knew you.” Which shows that a person can be full of themselves; and push God to the back. Ego was more important than God. It was all about them and not denying themselves to know God and give him the Glory. They wanted it for themselves.
The second group is Lukewarm (neither hot nor cold). They had everything a man who see and want and yet were blind. It’s easy to be complacent; especially in a very prosperous society like ours.
I know that I played games with God for years. I finally repented (turned away from my sins and selfishness). What would have happened to me if I would have died during that time and faced the Lord. I don’t want to know. I do believe that God is merciful and knew there would come a fork in the road for me. I had to choose to give it all to him. I couldn’t have my cake and eat it too.
So, this is a wakeup call to you; if you find yourself described in these two portions of the Bible like I did. Please Repent and give it all to Jesus.
You are Loved and God gave his Son for You!
Revelation 3:18-22 (ESV)
18 I counsel you to buy from me gold refined by fire, so that you may be rich, and white garments so that you may clothe yourself and the shame of your nakedness may not be seen, and salve to anoint your eyes, so that you may see.
19 Those whom I love, I reprove and discipline, so be zealous and repent.
20 Behold, I stand at the door and knock. If anyone hears my voice and opens the door, I will come in to him and eat with him, and he with me.
21 The one who conquers, I will grant him to sit with me on my throne, as I also conquered and sat down with my Father on his throne.
22 He who has an ear, let him hear what the Spirit says to the churches.’”
