So, what am I getting at? What is this “No more naked prayers all about? Prayer is our communication with God. I have found in my own life if I try to overcome a situation by prayer alone it rarely if ever works. I HAVE FOUND A WAY THAT WORKS THE BEST! I NEED THE SEED! NO MORE NAKED PRAYERS! To me prayer is mainly hanging out and spending time with Jesus. It’s awesome! It isn’t religious and formal like it was for years in my life. I am very grateful for that. But when I am praying for a need for others or myself: prayer is water and fertilizer. It helps keep the conditions right for the seed to thrive and grow and produce something.
So, what is the Seed? The seed is the Word of God. If you think about it seeds are everywhere: from plants to animals to humans. God made it this way. The most important parable in the Bible is the parable of the sower. Why? The Bible says if we understand this parable; it’s is the key to unlock all other parables.
And he said to them, “Do you not understand this parable? How then will you understand all the parables” (Mark 4:13)
The Word of God is Alive! It is powerful!
“For the word of God is living and active, sharper than any two-edged sword, piercing to the division of soul and of spirit, of joints and of marrow, and discerning the thoughts and intentions of the heart.” (Hebrews 4:12)
It’s more than words on a page. It’s God’s love letter to us and it is the SWORD OF THE SPIRIT. It is a spiritual weapon. Nothing is equal to it!!!
“the sword of the Spirit, which is the word of God”
(Ephesians 6:17)
I find if I try to win a battle by prayer alone; I usually lose. Because it turns into a mental battle and an emotional roller coaster. But if I stand on the Promises and keep standing on them and keep watering and fertilizing that seed they always produce a harvest. Always!
“For all the promises of God in him are yea, and in him Amen, unto the glory of God by us.” (II Corinthians 1:20)
The Bible tell us that we will reap in due season if we don’t give up(Quit).
“And let us not be weary in well doing: for in due season we shall reap, if we faint not.” (Galatians 6:9)
Let me leave you with this thought. What did Jesus do when he was tempted by the devil? He said, “It is written.” He quoted the Bible-the Word of God. That’s is how he won he battles; he took out his Sword (the Bible) and beat the stuffing out of the devil. He gave us his authority; in Mark 16 to do the same “In my name.”
SO, NO MORE NAKED PRAYERS-YOU NEED THE SEED!!!
