DEPART FROM ME-I NEVER KNEW YOU:
THE SEVEN SCARIEST WORDS-YOU NEVER WANT TO HEAR
SO HOW DO YOU KNOW IF YOU WILL GO TO HEAVEN???
I believe this may be the most important message I have ever shared. God spoke to my heart about a week ago and told me to share it. He said to me “Preach first, Teach second.” It may be hard to sit in a chair but I will try for your sake!!! This is gonna be a Barn-Burner!!!
The Scariest words that you never want to hear are these seven words: “Depart from me, I never knew you.” Right from the mouth of Jesus.
Matthew 7:21-23 “Not everyone who says to me, ‘Lord, Lord,’ will enter the kingdom of heaven, but the one who does the will of my Father who is in heaven. On that day, many will say to me, ‘Lord, Lord, did we not prophesy in your name, and cast out demons in your name, and do many mighty works in your name?’ And then will I declare to them, ‘I never knew you; depart from me, you workers of lawlessness”
Last week, I preached on defending your healing. That is exactly what I personally am practicing this week. Satan is doing everything he can to try and stop me from preaching this message. This includes several things that I won’t mention. He has tried to put a horrible cold with all the symptoms he can muster up. God has healed me of this cold but the symptoms have been rather annoying. So, I wanted to be straight up from with you. So, if my voice sounds funny please bear with me; I am recovering and will just walk through it. If I haven’t mentioned it before, I am mentioning now. Even if you are walking in Divine Healing and Divine Health, the devil can throw something at you. The test is how you respond. I refuse to let this stop me. I am believing God to double the seeds planted. I just wanted you to know.
1. When I die will I go to heaven or hell?
That is the million-dollar question
Well I don’t believe in hell?
Well when you get there you will; but it will be too late to change your destiny
This is a choice everyone must make. “it is appointed unto man once to die and then the judgment,”
2. What will hell be like?
The Bible says what hell will be like: a place of torment; darkness; sorrows; weeping; eternal, gnashing of teeth=grinding your teeth (usually due to anger); hopelessness; no rest, shall I continue?
I asked God for a vision of heaven or hell-so for ten years-I got a taste of hell on earth and (I experienced what it was like to be without God (even though he was there). There was extreme loneliness; I was in constant pain and discomfort for 10 years-so I know what torment is like; I couldn’t sleep-that is a method they use to torture prisoners)
3. Why does God let bad things happen to good people?
He gave us free will. It always amazes me that people abuse their free will with poor decisions and then blame God for the results. Now I understand that bad things happen to people who did nothing to deserve them because we live in a fallen world and other people’s evil can affect us and sometimes just natural things-man-made things cause disasters.
Sickness is a part of the fall. Death is a part of the fall. Anything bad is pretty much part of the fall. This wasn’t God’s original plan. Sin brought this into being. Some say well that’s not fair, I wasn’t in the garden with Adam and Eve to make that choice. I doubt if any of us would have done better. I know I wouldn’t. The good news is this: True but God did give a Remedy.
4. What about these natural disasters like hurricanes, earthquakes, etc.?
Is God behind them? *******
Is God angry at America?
Is God angry with me? (John 3:36) “Whoever believes in the Son has eternal life; whoever does not obey the Son shall not see life, but the wrath of God remains on him.”
(he put his wrath on Jesus that was supposed to go towards you) (So when you accept the gift you get the wrath removed-the punishment due you).
LET ME ADDRESS THIS ALSO: WHO IS BEHIND THESE DISASTERS: IS IT GOD???
Hurricanes, Earthquakes, etc.=Is it God. They are called acts of God by insurance companies. Or Is it the devil? Well God is operating under grace. He has in the past poured his wrath out and he will again, but not now. His wrath was all put on Jesus. So why are these things happening?
Nature is spinning out of control from the fall (The Bible talks about Birth pangs (the labor pains)-the beginning of the end of this world as we know it)
God gives us all sorts of umbrellas to protect us from the rain. For umbrellas of protection to work obedience to the Word of Truth is required.
From personal to family to nations, there are umbrellas. If we as a nation reject prayer, etc. Then we step out form the umbrella and the shields have come down and we are vulnerable to attach. Think about this in fifty years we have gone from a country that was God-fearing, clean TV shows, etc. to a nation that promotes abortion and same-sex marriages.
Here’s the Good News: John 3:16- “For God so Loved the Word that he gave his only begotten son that whosoever believes in him shall not perish but have eternal life.” (Sounds a lot like love to me) (Now you are not at peace with him or afforded his covering for you if you don’t know him) You don’t get the benefits of relationship with him if you don’t join the family.
5. What are the Qualifiers or Disqualifiers that keep you from entering in to heaven?
Let me ask you a few questions:
First are you a good person?
Have you done more good things than bad?
Have you tried to live a good life? Have you tried to be a good: husband;
wife/father; mother; brother; sister; son; daughter?
Have you been a respectable member of your community: paying your bills and taxes; helping people in need as you are able to; etc.
How did you do on those questions?
Here is an illustration that might help you:
There were two twin sisters. One was named Mary and the other Millie. They lived in Minnesota. Mary always strived to be a good person. She went to church regularly; got good grades; and was popular at school. She even helped at the Mission at times. Millie was just the opposite of Mary. She didn’t want to be like “Miss Goodie two shoes-Mary.” She was going to experience life and all that it had for her. Millie partied like a rock star. They were seniors in High School. They graduated and went their separate ways. Both moved to other towns.
Mary got a good job and met a guy and they got married and had two kids. They all went to church. Mary and her husband chose the most popular church in town. This is where the leading business people went. They hoped to further their careers by making contacts with the rich and successful.
Millie went off the tracks. Her life was a mess. She lived with several guys. She had several jobs. None of them lasted very long. A couple of times she ended up sleeping on the street. She got in trouble with law. She was caught in possession of illegal drugs.
She spent six months in the county jail. After she got out she had nowhere to go but home. She wasn’t going there. She finally went to a mission out of desperation. They gave her a bed and meals. She eventually began helping in the kitchen and serving area. She even started attending some of the mission’s church services.
She had been there about six months when her sister tracked her down with bad news. Their dad was gone. He had experienced a major heart attack and died. Their mom had died when they were little girls and their dad had raised them. So, all that was left of their family was them. Mary picked up Millie and they attended the funeral and on way back to drop off Millie, a drunk driver lost control and hit Mary’s car; killing them both instantly.
So where did they go: Heaven or Hell??? If we went by the questions I posed before. Who was the good person; who tried to help others; who tried to live a good life; who did more good things than bad; We will come up with the wrong answers. You see Mary went to hell and Millie went to heaven. How is that possible? Mary never accepted Christ as her Lord and Savior. She was what we would just call “a good person.” So how did Millie make it to heaven. She lived a selfish life and was a drain on society. But for all the things she did wrong, Millie did one thing right. At one of those Mission’s church services there was an altar call for anyone to accept Jesus and make him their Lord and Savior. Millie felt a tugging at her heart and did just that. She was heaven ready when she died. They say you can’t always judge a book by its cover and that is true. But God can judge a human only by his or her heart; whether it contains Jesus or not.
Ephesians 2:8:9 “For by grace you have been saved through faith. And this is not your own doing; it is the gift of God, not a result of works, so that no one may boast.”
6. Are there fringe groups? (people who are living on the edge of making it or not)
Who are these people?
These verses in Matthew have been and will always be debated. One theory is that these are people who were Christians who had lost their salvation.
The second theory is that this is referring to religious people who were self-deceived that thought by their own goodness and actions that they were heaven ready. They were church going people who thought by just joining or going to a church or doing some good things they would be saved.
It has to be the second theory because of the statement: I never knew you. This means this group of people were never true believers.
So, can a Christian lose their salvation?
They can’t lose it like you lose a watch. Hebrews 6 talks about people who were mature Spirit-filled people who had turned their back on God. Anyone who had rejected God totally and knowingly at this very high level of maturity couldn’t or should I say wouldn’t come back. This is only time this is addressed with a group/type of people. I think this is not very common.
Anyone else can back if they have blown it time and after time. I think a more common thing that happens is people who have accepted and started following Christ and just say I can’t live it or I do want to live it. More so at the beginning of their walk.
Then they harden their heart go back into the world and turn away from Jesus.
I think it is just better to look at the fruit of a person’s life and try to help them and not condemn them. It can be difficult to tell is someone is saved or not form the outside. If they care about God, there is always hope. If you feel guilty or convicted about things you are reachable by God. These other people just don’t care anymore and God knows that they will not turn back to him. You must reject God because he will never throw you away.
REMEMBER THIS JUST BECAUSE YOU GO INTO THE BARN DOESN’T MAKE YOU A COW!
Remember THIS GOD DOESN’T GRADE ON A CURVE. HE IS A PASS OR FAIL God. HE WANTS US; BUT ITS ALL OR NOTHING WHEN IT COMES TO OUR HEART
There is a safeguard: Be careful how you build; Build your house on the Rock not on sand:
(Matthew 7:24-27)
“Everyone then who hears these words of mine and does them will be like a wise man who built his house on the rock. 25 And the rain fell, and the floods came, and the winds blew and beat on that house, but it did not fall, because it had been founded on the rock. 26 And everyone who hears these words of mine and does not do them will be like a foolish man who built his house on the sand. 27 And the rain fell, and the floods came, and the winds blew and beat against that house, and it fell, and great was the fall of it.”
Momentum is important: Keep going forward and you build momentum. (Builds strength and direction up)
7. Why would a loving God send someone to hell?
Again, it’s free will. God wants those who want him. If I sent my son to help you and he gave his live to save yours and instead of accepting and honoring what he did for you; you used his name as a swear word and showed him no respect; there isn’t a hell deep enough or an eternity long enough for you.
8. What will heaven be like?
The Bible Says: No more pain or suffering; no more sin; no more death; no more tears; no more persecution; it will eternal
I had ten years of Hell on Earth and then I got to experience Heaven on earth:
One thing I realized is that what I was like before all of this (had lot of issues that were of my own causing-taken those out) I had lived for the most part a mere human existence. I was a Church going Christian. If I would have died I would have made it to heaven, But what a wasted life. Here is the ultimate question; are you satisfied with you getting by as a Christian or do you want to raise the dead head the sick and cleanse the lepers. Do you want to hear his voice in your heart? Do you want the Bible Promises to become alive and work for you? Well that’s my story and I’m sticking to it.
9. What will you say when you stand before him and he asks you why should I let you
in?
Are you ready to go to heaven?
We say when a sick person dies we say “well at least they are out of their pain “NO they aren’t if they are not saved, just because they were in pain or sick or a war hero or a nice person or did many good deeds doesn't qualify them for heaven.
If they are a believer then they are fine; if they are not they have just traded one temporary hell for a permanent one.
10. What are the qualifications to enter in to heaven?
You must realize that you are a sinner
(Romans 3:23- “For all have sinned and come short of the Glory of God”)
You must realize the consequences of not accepting Jesus and the benefits of accepting
(Romans 6:23- “For the wages of sin is death; but the gift of God is eternal life through Jesus Christ our Lord.”)
You must believe in your heart and confess your belief with your mouth
(Romans 10:9,10 – “if you confess with your mouth that Jesus is Lord and believe in your heart that God raised him from the dead, you will be saved. 10 For with the heart one believes and is justified, and with the mouth one confesses and is saved.”
11. You can have heaven on earth now; are there benefits to knowing God and what are they?
From Scripture: John 10:10 says- “The thief comes only to steal and kill and destroy. I came that they may have life and have it abundantly.”
I was thinking this week and thought you know the devil is really like an abusive boyfriend/husband. He promises I won’t do it again and he does. He presents himself as a good guy and then hooks you and abuses you and throws you away.
And I have confirmed by my personal experience what the Bible says is real in fact is just that real. You don’t have to be a mere mortal Christians and let the Bible be a devotional book only.
You can intimately know God better than your best friend your wife, your husband. He will be your best friend You can feel his pleasure and he you know his voice and you hear it in your heart)
