DO YOU HAVE AN EMERGENCY PREPARE KIT?
(THINGS YOU NEED TO FACE A CRISIS VICTORIOUSLY)
First, you must choose your theme song: (YOU HAVE TWO CHOICES):
I go to pieces by Patsy Cline (or)
(I go to pieces every time a trial comes my way)
Don’t worry-be happy- Bobby Mcfarrin
-Jesus was the original singer of one of these songs
Let me clarify something when I made the Promo Video, I said about the Theme songs that you could have your own DVD. Sorry if anyone got excited to receive their DVD. No DVDs folk; I was just using that as part of the illustration.
I also want to say if you are going through a crisis now, I am not making fun of you. The last thing in the world I would want to do is to discourage anyone. I want to teach you from God’s Word how to prepare yourself.
So, can you prepare for a crisis? The answer is yes. These are general principles. This preparation will apply to all areas: Emotional, Financial, and of course, divine healing. It will work for any trouble that we face. We must learn how to walk on water and then to keep our eyes on Jesus not the wind or the waves.
1. Theme Song # 1: “I go to Pieces” by Patsy Cline
This is what most people do.
We must move you from Patsy Cline to Bobby McFerrin. That’s right from “I go to pieces” to “Don’t worry be happy.” I am not running down anyone who is struggling in a crisis. I am trying to give you hope. I had to change in this area to walk victoriously. It was a process and at times painful. Trust me if God can change someone like me; he can change you. I come from a long line of “I go to pieces each time a trial comes my way.”
l kid you not. One of my close family members would freak out when the furnace would kick in. “What was that.” Always expecting the worse, and by faith or a lack thereof able to get it.
I am sharing these things to show you how bad the atmosphere was for me for me. Now I didn’t do myself any favors. I would do stupid things that gave the devil ammunition. Thank God, he is so merciful and patient. That is the only explanation that I was able to break on through to the other side. I was afraid to look people in the eyes. I was afraid to preach. I didn’t know how to hear God. On a scale of 1 to 10, I came up negative when it came to confidence. I actually owed points. I was the poster child for anxiety.
This last week God put me through three minor crises in one day. He has been doing the last month or so to test me and make me stronger. First, I went to work and he was giving me some revelation (teaching insight). A couple of minutes after I got to work, my crown came loose and fell out. For some reason, that kind of thing always bothered me. In the past, I didn’t have the money to pay for it. I had a peace that passes all understanding this time. The last time it came out was six years ago and I had just lost my healing for the first time and was under extreme demonic attack. My mind went back there. I put it and God’s hands and dealt with it.
Then, a co-worker said something that totally degrading and insulting to me as a man. I don’t think he even realized what he said. Satan was working through him and trying to get my goat. I asked God for love and mercy towards him.
Then, the third thing was a situation with my dad. He is in his mid-eighties and lives alone. He had been given some very confusing information about medication changes and doctor and lab visits and he was extremely upset. I hadn’t seen him like that for about 10 years. That’s how he reacted before God transformed him into a man of faith. I prayed for the situation and for him and then checked things out in person as best as I could.
God then spoke to my heart and said, “I tested you three times and you passed.” That was so cool. I was the type that would get all stressed out about things like this. God has been changing me in these areas. It was amazing and I give him all the glory.
2. Theme Song # 2: “Don’t worry be happy” (by Bobby McFarrin
Today if you went up to a person who had just been diagnosed with cancer and said cheer up Jesus will take care of that for you, you would be a monster. That is because we believe immediately that we are going to suffer and possible die. Our thoughts are not “Jesus has got this. They are panic and unbelief.
Well Scot that’s normal to react that way. That just shows how far we have floated from the shore of faith. This is what Jesus is calling for here. Our reaction shows faith or unbelief. And if you start in panic mode it is very difficult to switch over mid-stream.
3. So which song did Jesus sing?
(John 14:1) (KJV)
"Let not your heart be troubled: ye believe in God, believe also in me. " (Sounds like Don’t Worry, be Happy to me)
Folks, we must decide are these promises livable or just good thoughts. If we look at them at just devotional thoughts and don’t put them into practice it won’t work.
4. You receive the blessing by building your temple right.
*****You must be a DOER not just a hearer
(Matthew 7:24-27) (ESV)
“Everyone then who hears these words of mine and does them will be like a wise man who built his house on the rock. And the rain fell, and the floods came, and the winds blew and beat on that house, but it did not fall, because it had been founded on the rock. And everyone who hears these words of mine and does not do them will be like a foolish man who built his house on the sand. And the rain fell, and the floods came, and the winds blew and beat against that house, and it fell, and great was the fall of it.”
(James 1:22-25 )(ESV)
"But be doers of the word, and not hearers only, deceiving yourselves. For if anyone is a hearer of the word and not a doer, he is like a man who looks intently at his natural face in a mirror. For he looks at himself and goes away and at once forgets what he was like. But the one who considers the perfect law, the law of liberty, and perseveres, being no hearer who forgets but a doer who acts, he will be blessed in his doing."
This is an epidemic in the America church.
(at least when it comes to areas like Divine Healing, sharing your faith, and so on) This is so powerful and so accurate.
You know when the pastor preaches and you say good sermon Pastor and then go out for lunch and then don’t put it into practice and never think about it again. That is a formula for disaster. That is a formula for little or no growth. This is your lifeline. The victory is not in hearing it only but in the doing of it.
(IF YOU HEAR IT AND DON’T DO IT THERE WILL BE NO VICTORY and YOU MUST GO FROM A COLD TO CANCER ONE STEP AT A TIME OR YOU WON’T BE READY FOR CANCER IF IT COMES CALLING

(John 15:7) (KJV)
"If ye abide in me, and my words abide in you, ye shall ask what ye will, and it shall be done unto you."
A little humor here-true story-A minister when into the doctor to get rechecked. He had a diagnosis of cancer. In the natural, if he didn’t do something about it he would die. He was trying to believe God for Divine Healing but struggling a bit and his healing hadn’t manifested yet and the tests showed this. The doctor thought he needed a dose of reality. I think his name was Bobby. So, the doctor says to him “Bobby, I don’t think you’re getting this, you’re gonna die.” Without blinking an eye Bobby says to him. “So are you.” I don’t know why but I get a chuckle out of his reaction. I don’t know what happened to Bobby but I know his faith wasn’t shaken.
We are all gonna die. But we get to choose what we believe. We are all gonna stand before the Lord. When we get to heaven it says in Romans 8:18 (the KJV gets this one right) “the glory that will be revealed in us.: We will see that we had all this power to heal, to boldly under the anointing to speak out, and to whoop up on the devil and we just felt powerless. So sad. What a waste. Don’t let this life slip away. It isn’t a dress rehearsal. You can know God intimately and live victorious in him and be a World Changer for Jesus.
