HOW DEEP IS YOUR LOVE SERIES-CHOOSE YOUR LIFE’S THEM SONG -OPTION 1-My Way-Frank Sinatra
HOW DEEP IS YOUR LOVE-BEE GEES
How deep is your love?
How deep is your love?
I really need to learn
'Cause we're living in a world of fools
Breaking us down when they all should let us be
We belong to you and me
I believe in you
You know the door to my very soul
You're the light in my deepest darkest hour
You're my savior when I come
And you may not think that I care for you
When you know down inside that I really do
And it's me you need to show
How deep is your love?
Is your love?
How deep is your love?

INTRODUCTION
Frank Sinatra was: He was one of the Rat Pack as they called them. He was an actor and an extremely popular singer 40’s through 80’s. He is of the most well-known and successful singers of all time. He was considered to have one of the greatest voices of the 20th century. He had nicknames like “Old Blue Eyes.” He was often connected to the Mafia. He was a tough guy. He is what we call a self-made man today. It was his way or the highway. The song My Way pretty much was autobiographical of his life.
Option # 1:
My Way-Frank Sinatra
And now, the end is near
And so I face the final curtain
My friend, I'll say it clear
I'll state my case, of which I'm certain
For what is a man, what has he got?
If not himself then he has naught
To say the things he truly feels
And not the words of one who kneels
The record shows I took the blows
And did it my way Yes, it was my way
1. Think about these questions:
· Would you trade your soul for money success fame?
· What would you give in exchange for your soul?
· Not these things in themselves may not be wrong:
Billy Graham was famous: but for Knowing God and sharing him with others
· You can be wealthy and be a tremendous blessing for God.
· What is the motive of your heart?
Mark 8:34-38 (ESV)
34 And calling the crowd to him with his disciples, he said to them, “If anyone would come after me, let him deny himself and take up his cross and follow me.
35 For whoever would save his life will lose it, but whoever loses his life for my sake and the gospel’s will save it.
36 For what does it profit a man to gain the whole world and forfeit his soul?
37 For what can a man give in return for his soul?
38 For whoever is ashamed of me and of my words in this adulterous and sinful generation, of him will the Son of Man also be ashamed when he comes in the glory of his Father with the holy angels.”
2. There is way that seems right but is it?
· Commercials us “You deserve a break today “or
“Have it your way right away”
· (Actually, those are older commercials form McDonalds and Burger King)
· Now if you apply those themes to your life: it would lead to “It’s all about me” and Right away-no waiting-take short-cuts)
Proverbs 14:12 (ESV)
12 There is a way that seems right to a man, but its end is the way to death.
3. If it is your theme song: My Way
If He-God has been replaced by Me and it’s all about you-then it’s-The Song of Hell (Are you truly happy inside or do you have to keep covering up that emptiness inside of you: with more things; more vacations; more sexually immorality; even more sports.
4. Nothing can replace God-Nothing
5. Please read the next two segments coming up right after these: What is you Life’s Theme song? You have two more choices coming up.
