LET’S WAIT OR LET’S ROLL-MOMENTUM-THE GAME CHANGER
How Can I Be Healed Ministries
(FACEBOOK LIVE TUESDAYS AT 7PM CENTRAL TIME)
If you think about it as a Christian you really have two choices. You can either being a baby Christian your whole walk or you can just go for it. Let’s wait or let’s roll. The cool thing is you get to choose.
Hebrews 5:12-14(HCSB)
12 Although by this time you ought to be teachers, you need someone to teach you the basic principles of God’s revelation again. You need milk, not solid food. (THAT WAS ME)
13 Now everyone who lives on milk is inexperienced with the message about righteousness, because he is an infant.
14 But solid food is for the mature—for those whose senses have been trained to distinguish between good and evil.
The Dangers of Waiting
Mark 4:3-8 (ESV)
3 “Listen! Behold, a sower went out to sow.
4 And as he sowed, some seed fell along the path, and the birds came and devoured it.
5 Other seed fell on rocky ground, where it did not have much soil, and immediately it sprang up, since it had no depth of soil.
6 And when the sun rose, it was scorched, and since it had no root, it withered away.
7 Other seed fell among thorns, and the thorns grew up and choked it, and it yielded no grain.
8 And other seeds fell into good soil and produced grain, growing up and increasing and yielding thirtyfold and sixtyfold and a hundredfold.”
Mark 4:13-21 (ESV)
13 And he said to them, “Do you not understand this parable? How then will you understand all the parables?
14 The sower sows the word.
15 And these are the ones along the path, where the word is sown: when they hear, Satan immediately comes and takes away the word that is sown in them.
16 And these are the ones sown on rocky ground: the ones who, when they hear the word, immediately receive it with joy.
17 And they have no root in themselves, but endure for a while; then, when tribulation or persecution arises on account of the word, immediately they fall away.
18 And others are the ones sown among thorns. They are those who hear the word,
19 but the cares of the world and the deceitfulness of riches and the desires for other things enter in and choke the word, and it proves unfruitful.
20 But those that were sown on the good soil are the ones who hear the word and accept it and bear fruit, thirtyfold and sixtyfold and a hundredfold.”
Some see this as four different people. Some see this as four possible stages in one person. I believe it could be either.
Where do you see yourself. Which one are you or where are you at Spiritually.
1. The First Heart Condition
· Is definitely an unbeliever.
· These is no positive response to the Truth of God’s Word
2. The Second Heart Condition
· Was one had not root.
· No effort was put in to grow
3. The Third Heart Condition
· Was caught up in the world.
· If you are a believer and your life is basically just enjoying life; you don’t witness, etc.; you fall into this category too.
· You were called by God to do more than think about yourself or you and your family only.
4. The Fourth Heart Condition
· Is the only one who made the transition form sinner or baby Christian to mature believer who can touch others’ lives
· (30/60/100-fold growth)
2. Versus the Benefits of Rolling-Let’s Roll
Todd Beamer, who resided in Cranbury, New Jersey, was an account manager for the Oracle Corporation. He died at age 32 in the September 11, 2001 attacks on board United Airlines Flight 93. He is survived by his wife, Lisa Beamer, two sons, David and Drew, and a daughter, Morgan Kay, who was born on January 9, 2002 . nearly four months after her father's death.
Todd and other passengers had been in communication with people via in-plane and cell phones and learned that the World Trade Center had been attacked using hijacked airplanes.
Beamer tried to place a credit card call through a phone located on the back of a plane seat but was routed to a customer-service representative instead, who passed him on to supervisor Lisa Jefferson. Beamer reported that one passenger was killed and, later, that a flight attendant had told him the pilot and co-pilot had been forced from the cockpit and may have been wounded.
He was also on the phone when the plane made its turn in a southeasterly direction, a move that had him briefly panicking.
Later, he told the operator that some of the plane's passengers were planning "jump on" the hijackers. According to Jefferson, Beamer's last audible words were "Are you guys ready? Let's roll." This term would later become the war cry for those fighting Al Qaeda in Afghanistan.
I honor Todd and all of those brave souls who rushed the cockpit. I also honor those who died and all of their families who lost these loved ones.
Hebrews 4:1-16 (KJV)
1 Let us therefore fear, lest, a promise being left us of entering into his rest, any of you should seem to come short of it.
2 For unto us was the gospel preached, as well as unto them: but the word preached did not profit them, not being mixed with faith in them that heard it.
3 For we which have believed do enter into rest, as he said, As I have sworn in my wrath, if they shall enter into my rest: although the works were finished from the foundation of the world.
4 For he spake in a certain place of the seventh day on this wise, And God did rest the seventh day from all his works.
5 And in this place again, If they shall enter into my rest.
6 Seeing therefore it remaineth that some must enter therein, and they to whom it was first preached entered not in because of unbelief:
7 Again, he limiteth a certain day, saying in David, To day, after so long a time; as it is said, To day if ye will hear his voice, harden not your hearts.
8 For if Jesus had given them rest, then would he not afterward have spoken of another day.
9 There remaineth therefore a rest to the people of God.
10 For he that is entered into his rest, he also hath ceased from his own works, as God did from his.
11 Let us labour therefore to enter into that rest, lest any man fall after the same example of unbelief.
12 For the word of God (THE PROMISES)is quick, and powerful, and sharper than any twoedged sword, (piercing even to the dividing asunder of soul and spirit, and of the joints and marrow, and is a discerner of the thoughts and intents of the heart.
13 Neither is there any creature that is not manifest in his sight: but all things are naked and opened unto the eyes of him with whom we have to do.
14 Seeing then that we have a great high priest, that is passed into the heavens, Jesus the Son of God, let us hold fast our profession.
15 For we have not an high priest which cannot be touched with the feeling of our infirmities; but was in all points tempted like as we are, yet without sin.
16 Let us therefore come boldly unto the throne of grace, that we may obtain mercy, and find grace to help in time of need.
When it comes to anything that is conquered by faith the Lord brought this thought back to me. For me it was like this. I believed God wanted to heal today like he did in the 1st Century Book of Acts Church. So when I got ahold of the teaching. Which amounts to someone expounding on the Promises of Healing and then honestly saying it worked for them.
So my first thought as I ventured into the first time was I believed but I had to fight that thought that kept trying to attack my mind “Will it work? I believe everyone must cross this threshold.
Then after you get one victory this is your next battle and thought to fight “Will it work again? Then after that you take on something harder and you must fight this thought; “sure it worked on that small thing but will it work on this bigger thing?
After that I just bookmarked it. Built an altar in my mind. If God can heal my cist then he can heal my migraine and if he can heal my migraine he can heal my fibromyalgia. If he can and he already did then anything that ever attacks me in the future from cancer to heart diseases to diabetes to Alzheimer’s to you name it; he will heal that. Actually, at first sign of that I will take that on.
Building Momentum is kind of like this:
1. Start (Uphill battle)
2. Eventually you get to a Place of Confidence (top of the mountain) (Don’t rest and coast there)
3. You are going down the other side (Don’t get overwhelmed and misdirected by success)
Hebrews 10:38-39 (ESV)
38 but my righteous one shall live by faith, and if he shrinks back, my soul has no pleasure in him.”
39 But we are not of those who shrink back and are destroyed, but of those who have faith and preserve their souls.
You are a sitting duck if you don’t know how to defend your health from the devil. How will you be it? You can’t! There will be a few who escape this life healthy; but not many. Especially when it comes to old age. Prepare for the storm so there; so you can rebuke it.
But Todd Beamer and these other men who rushed the cockpit and nearly got control of the plane failed because they all ending up dying anyway. Is that what you think??? I am here to tell you are missing the point completely.
Jim Elliot a missionary who gave his life once said this “He is no fool who gives what he cannot keep to gain what he cannot lose.”
God called them to just go and they did; not considering their own wellbeing; but leaving the results to God. These men didn’t sit back and think “I’m not doing it; someone else can.” No they took it upon themselves and gallantly laid their lives down so that others might live. This plane was probably headed to the capital area on a suicide mission. They prevented that. When Todd Beamer said “Let’s Roll” he put into motion an operation that no doubt saved the lives of many. These men are heroes. They had the right stuff because they chose to do the right thing; they didn’t sit back and do nothing. They acted. I salute them tonight as American Heroes.
If you want to know God intimately and touch others for Jesus you have one war cry. The cry of Todd Beamer- Let’ Roll. And once you start just keep going and if you fall get back up and roll some more. And don’t ever give up or stop and God will bless your relationship with him and others in ways you never thought possible. You will make a difference!!!
