THIS MEANS WAR-DON'T LET THE DEVIL PICK YOU OFF- PART 2- WHAT ARE THE STAKES?
Ephesians 6:10-12 (ESV)
10 Finally, be strong in the Lord and in the strength of his might.
11 Put on the whole armor of God, that you may be able to stand against the schemes of the devil.
12 For we do not wrestle against flesh and blood, but against the rulers, against the authorities, against the cosmic powers over this present darkness, against the spiritual forces of evil in the heavenly places.
I would like to restate what I said on the first segment. I have believed for the last year or two that Satan is on an all-out attack against Christians. He is coming at them with deadly diseases. He is especially after those who are making strides in the Kingdom. He is trying to pick people off. His batting average is pretty good because Christians don’t know how to defend their healing. You can win thousands of souls and still be picked off by the devil if you do not understand Divine Healing. There is no time to waste! The time to prepare is now. You have to learn to heal a cold before you can heal Cancer in the name of Jesus. Why do people learn Tae Kwon Do or Karate, etc. to defend themselves. Shouldn’t we learn how to defend our health?
1. So, what are the Stakes?
John 10:10 (ESV)
10 The thief comes only to steal and kill and destroy. I came that they may have life and have it abundantly.
Basically, it comes down to this:
2. Jesus came to bring you abundant life (which includes good health, etc.)
3. Satan comes to steal, kill and destroy
· to take from you what is rightfully yours in Jesus
· to kill you physically and spiritually too if you let him)
· And to destroy (your family/your ministry,
Basically, he wants to ruin your life in whatever way he can.
4. I am always amazed at one thing
· Have you ever noticed when something goes wrong in people’s lives most automatically blame God.
· Now they want free will when it comes to make selfish and sinful choices but when it comes to be rescued-God better come through or I will turn into a God hater.
· Now I realize many times it isn’t anything we did.
· I think sometimes we just go to blaming God instead of searching for an answer.
· Have you ever though that your loved one died because the devil killed them, and they didn’t know how to combat this.
· Chances are if you come up against an incurable disease like cancer and medical science can’t help you; you will die without Divine Healing.
· Wouldn’t it be nice to have some way if you or your kids were sick that you could get them well? That explanation will be given in segment three
5. So ,what is the answer?
· You shall know the truth (it’s the truth that you know)
· My people are destroyed for a lack of knowledge (which is a fancy way of saying if you don’t know what you are doing in this area you will be destroyed)
6. So, it possible to change our way of doing Spiritual Business when it comes to Divine Healing?
· I Thought you would never ask
· I did
· For 29 years I had only one success at Divine Healing
(That was a mystery to me for years until God revealed to me why it worked)
Let me just tell you the story. When one of our boys was four years old; he flunked his pre-school hearing exam. Chad had partial deafness; he could hear but not well. He would need some type of hearing aids or something. This really got to me. I got this picture in my mind of this sweet young child, which he was, wearing these gigantic hearing aids. Anyway, I just got really steamed at the situation. I said, “enough is enough.” I laid my hands-on Chad’s head and prayed and believed God to divinely heal his hearing. Now, if you know my testimony, you know that I was Mr. OCD to the max. So, when Chad, came out of the bathroom and said “Daddy when I flushed the toilet it sounded like a jet airplane taking off” it didn’t register with me at first. I thought wow that’s weird; then a few moments later; I realized what had happened with my lightening quick mind; that God had healed him.
He was rechecked, and his hearing was in the normal range. Of course, I thought I could duplicate that again and wasn’t able to until years later when God would show me why Chad was healed and how Divine Healing works.
THIS EXPLAINS WHY PEOPLE GET HEALED AND HAVE NO IDEA HOW IT HAPPENED. That is what happened in my case with Chad.
