WITNESS KIT
Ezekiel 3:16-19 (ESV)
16 And at the end of seven days, the word of the LORD came to me:
17 “Son of man, I have made you a watchman for the house of Israel. Whenever you hear a word from my mouth, you shall give them warning from me.
18 If I say to the wicked, ‘You shall surely die,’ and you give him no warning, nor speak to warn the wicked from his wicked way, in order to save his life, that wicked person shall die for his iniquity, but his blood I will require at your hand.
19 But if you warn the wicked, and he does not turn from his wickedness, or from his wicked way, he shall die for his iniquity, but you will have delivered your soul.
Mark 16:15-16 (ESV)
15 And he said to them, “Go into all the world and proclaim the gospel to the whole creation.
16 Whoever believes and is baptized will be saved, but whoever does not believe will be condemned.
WITNESSING
God has been dealing with my heart so strongly the last few weeks about Personal Witnessing. One thing I realize is if you call it that is sounds optional; like an ad-on. Personal Witnessing is part of the Great Commission. It is not an elective or optional. It is a command for every Christian to do. The sad thing is according to late Bill Bright of Campus Crusade for Christ only 2 % regularly witness. That means if you have a church of 100; that only 2 people witness. 98 don’t.
I was one of those 98 %. I am not proud of it. But I wanted to do something about it, and I did and I am. I have been very free and bold sharing my testimony and teaching with others. I have witnessed a few times over the years. I have led a very few to the Lord.
A few weeks ago, there was a burning in my heart to reach the lost. When I first become sick 14 years ago in 2005, I began listening to Ray Comfort and Kirk Cameron from “The Way of the Master.” This became so real to me. Then after several months; I moved onto Andrew Wommack and spend several years learning and receiving Divine Healing from his teaching. Then God taught me about Bible Promises. Boldness and Power and just recently how-to overcoming addictions.
Many of you know that I was over 100 pounds overweight and nearly died from Congestive Heart Failure less than a year ago. God was merciful to me and as I stood on the Promise that he has showed me I was delivered after 35 years of an Eating Addiction. Praise God! It’s never too late.
Then just a few weeks ago as I mentioned before God started dealing with my heart about the Great Commission; specifically witnessing. I asked him what the right way is to witness. He immediately spoke to my heart and said go back to Ray Comfort and the Way of the Master. I did. I have been soaking it in ever since.
So, is the Way of the Master the only way to witness? Let me answer that question like this. The modern way to witness seems to be for Love Improvement. This is the direction that I was going to go in. In other words, Jesus will fill the void in your heart and fix your marriage; heal your body and bless you in so many ways. While that is true as a benefit of relationship; that is not the reason to accept Christ. You accept him because you want to change your eternal destination. In other words, you don’t want to go to hell but to heaven. Jesus paid this possible through his death on the cross.
So, if you go up to a person and say God loves you or Jesus loves you to witness to them; that is not the Biblical Method. Jesus never approached anyone by saying “God loves you” but instead used the Law; specifically, the 10 Commandments to prick their heart. Law to the Proud and Grace to the Humble. I want to do it the way Jesus did it. So how did Jesus do it. Well let’s look at John 4 with the Woman at the Well.
I also want to honor a very good friend of man. I knew Randy for 32 years. Last week he drowned while he was on vacation swimming in the ocean while in Hawaii and a riptide got a hold of him. One minute he was alive and the next minute he was gone. Life is so uncertain and fragile. Randy was ready-Are you is the question??? It was an honor to have Randy as a friend and I will see him again in heaven. I miss him. His story of being ready will be apart of my witness to others.
John 4:5-35 (ESV)
5 So he came to a town of Samaria called Sychar, near the field that Jacob had given to his son Joseph.
6 Jacob’s well was there; so Jesus, wearied as he was from his journey, was sitting beside the well. It was about the sixth hour.
7 A woman from Samaria came to draw water. Jesus said to her, “Give me a drink.”
8 (For his disciples had gone away into the city to buy food.)
9 The Samaritan woman said to him, “How is it that you, a Jew, ask for a drink from me, a woman of Samaria?” (For Jews have no dealings with Samaritans.)
10 Jesus answered her, “If you knew the gift of God, and who it is that is saying to you, ‘Give me a drink,’ you would have asked him, and he would have given you living water.”
11 The woman said to him, “Sir, you have nothing to draw water with, and the well is deep. Where do you get that living water?
12 Are you greater than our father Jacob? He gave us the well and drank from it himself, as did his sons and his livestock.”
13 Jesus said to her, “Everyone who drinks of this water will be thirsty again,
14 but whoever drinks of the water that I will give him will never be thirsty again. The water that I will give him will become in him a spring of water welling up to eternal life.”
15 The woman said to him, “Sir, give me this water, so that I will not be thirsty or have to come here to draw water.”
16 Jesus said to her, “Go, call your husband, and come here.”
17 The woman answered him, “I have no husband.” Jesus said to her, “You are right in saying, ‘I have no husband’;
18 for you have had five husbands, and the one you now have is not your husband. What you have said is true.”
19 The woman said to him, “Sir, I perceive that you are a prophet.
20 Our fathers worshiped on this mountain, but you say that in Jerusalem is the place where people ought to worship.”
21 Jesus said to her, “Woman, believe me, the hour is coming when neither on this mountain nor in Jerusalem will you worship the Father.
22 You worship what you do not know; we worship what we know, for salvation is from the Jews.
23 But the hour is coming, and is now here, when the true worshipers will worship the Father in spirit and truth, for the Father is seeking such people to worship him.
24 God is spirit, and those who worship him must worship in spirit and truth.”
25 The woman said to him, “I know that Messiah is coming (he who is called Christ). When he comes, he will tell us all things.”
26 Jesus said to her, “I who speak to you am he.”
27 Just then his disciples came back. They marveled that he was talking with a woman, but no one said, “What do you seek?” or, “Why are you talking with her?”
28 So the woman left her water jar and went away into town and said to the people,
29 “Come, see a man who told me all that I ever did. Can this be the Christ?”
30 They went out of the town and were coming to him.
It is very interesting that five verses later these famous verses pop out. I have heard this preached by countless missionaries. We are all missionaries and called to reach our neighbor.
35 Do you not say, ‘There are yet four months, then comes the harvest’? Look, I tell you, lift up your eyes, and see that the fields are white for harvest.
Ray Comfort from the Way of the Master uses the Four Principles found in the Encounter with the Woman at the Well. It is called the RCCR Method. Which is Relate/Create/Convict/Reveal.
I am not going to be able to go into detail but just hit the basics. These are the principles that I am applying when I share the gospel with others.

So, if you want to know how my witnessing went today. Here’s what happened?
Well first of all I want to give God all the glory. I broke through it only took me 61 years and 43 years as a Christian. Then I brought it to Alexandria; to a local gas station. They said why don't we put this up on the board because we have a board for cards. So, the Gospel tract went up on the board. Awesome and thank you Jesus. This week I'm going to share my testimony with 15 + co-workers. If they want to contact me outside of work that would be awesome. Anyway, the seeds been planted.
I love you guys. This will be my final regularly scheduled broadcast/written message. I will still be available of course. I will still be doing short posts/blogs. It has been my honor to teach you! Thanks for listening!
